                        <jats:p xml:lang="tr">Çalışmanın amacı KKTC’deki Travma yaygınlığı, risk faktörleri ve akültürasyon ile ilişkisinin incelenmesidir. Mayıs 2020 tarihleri içerisinde KKTC’de Lefkoşa bölgesinde bulunan, 18-88 yaş arasında, kotalı çok basamaklı seçkisiz (randomize) örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 333 birey alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Sosyo-demografik Bilgi formu, Travma Sonrası Stres Bozukluğu Ölçeği ve Kültür Tutumları Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Lefkoşa bölgesinde TSSB yaygınlığı %25,5 olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışmada Türkiye doğumlu olmak, yalnızlık, fiziksel hastalık varlığı, psikiyatrik hastalık bulunması ve alkol kullanımı TSSB oluşumunda risk faktörleri olarak belirlenmiştir. Türkiye ve KKTC doğumlu bireylerde TSSBÖ olan ve olmayan grupların KTÖ alt ölçeklerinin puan ortalamalarının Mann Whıtney U testi incelenmiş, ancak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. KKTC ve Türkiye doğumlu bireylerin TSSBÖ ve KTÖ alt ölçekleri puan ortalamalarının ilişkisi korelasyon tablosu ile incelenmiş ve anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir. KKTC’de Lefkoşa Bölgesinin en yoğun toplumlar arası çatışma bölgesi olarak geçmişte öne çıkması yüksek oranda travma oranının ortaya çıkmasına neden olabileceği düşünülebilir. Dolayısıyla Kıbrıs doğumlularda Türkiye doğumlulara göre daha yoğun travma geçmişi tespit edilmiştir. 1974’teki savaş öncesi ve 1963 olayları Kıbrıs Türkleri için ağır yaralar meydana getiren travmatik olaylar olmuştur.</jats:p>
